Do you want to learn a game that has been played for thousands of years by people all over the world? Are you tired of being “a” spectator to a game and really want to be THE player IN a game? Is your time spent mostly on the bench instead of being on the field all the time where you belong? If you’ve said “YES” to the above, then you’ve come to the right place in cyberspace! The Auburn Bocce Club is THE largest non-profit organization in the Pacific Northwest dedicated solely to the great game of bocce. The Auburn Bocce Club will be holding its 2010 Tuesday and Thursday court practice, meetings and lessons starting up in April, running from 3-6 pm at the Les Gove Park bocce courts. Les Gove Park is a great park with lots of great attractions such as the White River Museum, the busy Auburn branch of the King County Library System, the Auburn Senior Center and during the summer the Rotary Water Spray area is a hit with those wanting to cool off! A new barrier-free playground will be open! Ample parking is available, and King County Metro transit routes 915 and 917 run from Auburn Station to or near the park on weekdays and Saturdays. Plenty of food places are within walking distance of the park with plenty of picnic benches for you to enjoy. The Auburn Community Center and teen will be built to provide a greater benefit to an already great park! Come out and play! |
